Our mini family vaca

So the story goes... we were supposed to go to Disneyland with my brother and his family. Unfortunately they were unable to go and we were bummed. Well Josh and I still wanted to take Kaleb some where fun for his school's vacation. We thought well, we LOVE San Diego and we have annual passes to Seaworld that expire in August so we might as well save 150 bucks and go to Seaworld. So that's what we did...

We left at like 10 in the morning so we can time it with lunch so we can eat at La Pinata for the crisp quesailla. Oddly enough Josh eats it. Then we went to Balboa Park to walk around, ride the carousel and the mini train. Well crap, both of them were closed and the icecream stand was taking forever so we just said hey why don't we go to the zoo. That's what we did. I got some awesome pictures of Kaleb with some animals.
The next day we went to Seaworld. Last time we went we went on the Atlantis and it freaked Kaleb out! We thought ok he'll be ok this time. Nope he would hesitantly agree to go on and then change his mind. I even tried to bribe him with souviners and icecream. He'd agree then would renig on the deal when we got close. Luckily for him it was actually too cold to ride it cause it splashes a little. But everything else was great. We saw the Believe show (Shamu) and the Pets show. They had a little Boston Terrier! We got to feed the sealions of course but we were really disappointed that the the dolphin feeding area was underconstruction so we couldn't feed the dolphins. It was a bummer.
We left Seaworld at about 4:30pm. And anyone that's frequently visited San Diego, you don't go on the freeway between 3 and 7 pm. So we went to Old Town San Diego and Kaleb and I dipped our very own candles. It was fun. Kaleb picked out a dolphin and did this combination fo blue, green, purple, and black. I did a turtle. A pink and green one. It was cool. After that we ate at the none other Old Town Mexico Cafe. It was great, as always.
It was a nice little getaway. We don't get to do things like this often so we made the best of it. Kaleb had a blast and so did Josh and I. When Blake gets older and less difficult to take places he'll make memories like this too.
